Our place neighbourhood grant

12th December 2013

Locality, in partnership with the Local Government Association and delivery associates such as the Community Development Foundation, will be running the Our Place programme funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government.

This £4.3m package of support and grants will mean we can work with at least 100 neighbourhoods – improving areas informed by the people who know best – those who live there!

This follows a successful pilot programme revealing the many and varied benefits to communities of joined up service delivery and shared/pooled/devolved budgets.

For example - you could have a say over after-school activities for children, focus on large or complex services, such as adult social care or play a part in creating new jobs.

See the
My Community Rights website for success stories and how to express your interest in the programme.

The programme is open to applications from 20 January 2014.

So start thinking about what you’d like to see done differently, your partners and what they can bring to the project, resources you need and how we can help. We look forward to hearing from you.
