Doncaster CVS Celebrates 70 Years and Launches Community and Voluntary Sector Awards

30th October 2013

Doncaster CVS have teamed up with the Doncaster Free Press (DFP) and community radio station and social enterprise, Sine FM, as well as sponsors in the shape of Beta Technology, Taylor Bracewell, Doncaster Chamber, Business Doncaster, BDO, Doncaster Mind and Age UK to establish the awards which will take place at the Keepmoat Stadium on 6th December.

Explains Norma Wardman, director of Doncaster CVS:

“We wanted to do something special to mark our 70th year ‘in business’. The Doncaster CVS Awards are the ideal way to celebrate that milestone by highlighting the incredible work that goes on in the voluntary and community sector on a daily basis here in the town.

“I’m certain the inaugural event will be a huge success – it would be great if we were able to make the awards an annual occasion and create a lasting legacy that will ultimately encourage even more people to get involved in this growing sector.”

There are eight separate award categories, each with their own individual sponsor:
